Ice Cream Social
Paolaworks was hired to take an existing benefit event and grow it, increasing attendance and drawing more donations for a local shelter for battered women.
Traditionally, store management and employees donated time and solicited donations in the store but did little community outreach.
We built up the program: contacted an internationally acclaimed mime/puppetry artist who performed for free and a local female harp player who donated her time. Virtually 100% of all product was donated by vendors. A customer threw in a free massage.
Promotion was done through press releases, in-store and community fliers produced in-house. The store almost doubled the donations and attendance from the previous year.
